I moved out of York on Monday and have been living in Somerset now for less than a week. Living in Street now but i dont know for how long.

A week a go my father lost his battle with cancer. It was as far away from a pleasant death but i was glad to be there for him. Thanks to Kenno, Kiffy, Starbound, Lupestripe and Rax for your kind words and texts.
A week on and it has been hard living here with mum in a house full of dad's life. but we are laughing more than crying about him. Which is how he would of liked it. I will leave mum alone for a week for so, just so that she can get used to the house without dad.
On a brighter note I have seen pictures of the highland bull partical fursuit from Beetlecat. Im over the moon with it but i have had to put development on hold for a while. check out her fantastic work on the links below.

Most of you know that i have handed in my notice to my employer's at Yha York. I'm also moving away from York and heading way down south to Somerset, living with a friend for a short period. I should be moving out of York on the 1st November. Over all I'm very happy to be doing this but I do know that I will need a job sooner rather than later.
I'm a little sad to be leaving friends behind but to be honest as my work shifts didn't make it very sociable to see them, its not a hugh tug to break. Most of my friends tend to be young University goers who will no doubt be leaving in a year or so. But thinking about it once one bunch have gone another will follow behind to fill the gap.
At 28 years of age I do sometimes look at my furry friends and think that I'm old. Which is bollocks of course, but the thought always springs up. I have have a good few furry friends but none which i would say are good close friends. You know the ones where you can rely on them for whatever (this isn't a dig at anyone) I do regret not making more stronger friendships while being here.
I was also hoping to bag a boyfriend in the 3 years I've been here. But pathetically it didn't happen.... so fuck it.
There's nothing to keep me here and sometimes just get up and go, leave it all behind to start a fresh is a very exciting, slightly nervous, but refreshing move.

Went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park with Avon the stag. Well that was after our catch up chat over a mighty breakfast.
The Day was pretty good and the weather held back from raining which was a relief, but it meant it was warm and I had already put on a heavy coat excepting the prevoius cold, windy weather.
My over all feeling was that the Park wasn't that interesting and I was underwhelmed by the art and sculptures. The more fun ones were the gaint anthro rabbits. Otherwise it was lacking something. It seemed the sculptures were just plonked in random places and not placed in spaces that would show them off in the best way. The Barbara Hepworth Museum in St Ive, Cornwall is, smaller as its just a town house, studio and a little garden but is 100 times better this this place.
The actal building in the Park was interesting as it was like a typical Villains Hide out like in the James Bonds Films. Both me and Avon had a good chuckle over this.
Then back to his house to have a cuppa, meet Rusty and Huskypaw briefly. Watched Ice Aged 2 and played BUZZ on the computer. Pretty entertaining day out. Cheers Avon and thanks for your company :P |

It was an odd but fun dream i had a few days ago. Basically you know how in dreams EVERYTHING seem normal and logical. In this dream I was looking out side of my window, it was coming on to Christmas time and a Squirrel climbed up on the the window ledge beside me carring a bottle on gin.
We chatted about stuff and then he ask if i could open the bottle because it was screwed to tight for him. So I did. Pour some gin in the cap for him to drink from and then i drank from the bottle. So we got drunk together in my room.

Hello agian. Its been a while since i have looked in here and read whats going. Nothing exciting to be honest.
So yesterday I did a split shift which meant that i could pop into the centre and mingle with the York Meet. Lovely weather which was very lucky and allowed us all to sprawl in the Museum Gardens chat, chill and bum a round. Which was good fun so thank you Fiox, Spade, Blue and of course the slightly drunk Aramay :P
What else has been happening to this spotty hyena or highland bull.... erm not a great deal. Like most people work is pretty important and busy. Days off are taken up by me not doing much and cycling about which is something i love doing.
Plans are tumbling around my head to consider moving away or something along thoughs lines. "Where i hear you cry!" not solid plans but im applying for a new job that if successful will move me to further up north to the Northumberland National Park. And if that fulls though I well may move to Barcelonia for a few months to learn Spainish.
Was considering popping to London but I find the Meets boring but not some of the few people who I kind of know. Well that would be Samia really if i was honest. He's hyena so he is wonderful. I know a few others but only in passing really.
Anyway thats about it for now. |

Did a walk with some of the fellow hostellers yesterday over to the Golden Gate Bridge which was fantastic to see. The weather cleared up and become pretty warm, giving great views over the bay and the islands.
One of the stats of the bridge is that once it was built an average of 1 suiaside every two weeks are dome by jumping off it. They even have phones dotted along the walkway so it you need someone to talk to before jumping off there is at leaste one more chance of hope. However I was chuckling to myself wondering if you were going to jump off endding it all, then you phone up for councilling, a person to talk to, when as soon as you dail you are "asked to chooce a folllowing option" hehehe..
Anyways crossing the bridge to the other side, we took some more photos and stuff. Me now having to use a old school film camera. Then had lunch in a posh little town call Sausalito, very picture postcard with wonderful gallarys, deli's very nice located looking out to the San Franisco. Took a ferry back and wondered home. Pretty nice day and not to hard on my busted knee. However now its pretty much recovered so YAY.
Last night I meet up with a two local hyena furries on short notice (Hyenagirl and Crocuta) they very kindly took my out to Dinner in the gay district hehe. Very nice food and was good to meet new people and furs from over here. !! Walking back to their car a naked guy with a cockring asked if he could have a photo with HyenaGirl (random) but he wanted to be kissubg her shoe. Which was all very funny but shuddered when he continued to lick the shoe of her trainer...ewwwww. Funny shit but random as fuck hehehe.

So im here !!!
After an 11 hour flight from Heathrow I landed in the USA about 13:30 in the afternoon local time. The hostel is great however its in a really shady part of the city. I was walkin up the streets passing the blocks but stepping over sleeping homelass in daylight and having crazy ladies yelling at me. Reminded me of the voices in Grand Theaft Auto. I was pretty scared to be honest, but i have pull myself together.
Anyway I decided to stay up until I felt tried which came around about 19:00 being awake for 15 hours. Went to bed and slept right though to 8am in time for a simple breakfast and pancakes YUMMY !!!
Today on the 4th June I was still tired so I decide to plan out my remaining days in the city and make the most of my time and routes to see the most of what I could. ThePublic transport here is pretty good, with thoughs added cool traditional trams. But I found to my disgust that i had brought the right camera but no charger for it. DAMN IT. Now i will have to get a cheepy disposerble job.
Otherwsie its planning out to be a very exessable city. Plans for the Coast areas like fishermans whalf, Golden Gate Park, Goldern Gate Bridge, Fort Mason, Piar 39, China town and thats about it really. I was thinking of seeing Spamalot while its in town too!! And Friday night I join the Pub crawl as well hehehe.

Thought it would be a good year 2009. But last week it turned out not to be so. Well at least for now, the spring time. The next month is going to hard on me so please don't worry about my lack of contact and visiting.
Some of you will know the reasons but im to worn out to keep repeating myself, its make me upset and gloomy. So please dont take my silance as an insult. Its a personal issue.
I hate not having close friends nearby. Its only now that I see how isolated I am from my friends and family.
If you want to speak or visit me then of course i will not turn you away. Friends always welcome.

Sunday I slept for 15 hours. I thought i wouldn't sleep that night but I slept just fine. All i can think is for some reason my body needed the rest.

Well My plans are to take 2 weeks holiday and in that forthnight I will see if i can book Califur in June. As i can't go to EF then i will have to do something else. July is off limits as two members of staff are both having Maturnity leave, so joining other Ukfurs to Anthrocon is now ruined. MOTHER FUCKERS SON OF WHORES !!!

Went to the doc's today to registor and sort a few health issues i have (nothing major) However once the Body Mass Index was calulated I was told that I was close to being classified as obese.
I know im a little over weight. Anyway I'm depressed now.

So what can I tell you all who read my Lj. What’s new? Not a lot really. I’m still the friendly hyena or if you prefer the hansom dashing Highland Bull :P
Plans to pop down south to go to a London meet have already been finalised. So I should be at the March Meet with any luck. Well for a couple of hours at least until I get bored.
Had Lupestripe over for a hasty cheese and wine evening. Well lets say a “Cheese and bad wine evening” I have come to the conclusion that I’m not a wine drinker hehe. Still never mind it was a great evening with lots of chin wagging, cheese consumption, gossip, and flimflamming. Next Morning we arose from the wine and cheese induced slumber and stumbled out of my den about 1pm. Wondered into town and bumped into the Oracle a fellow York fur. Headed for a café and chatted away. Tried to find some ladies underwear for Lupe but most shops were closing at this point. And then we did the “wondering around Boarder book store” for a half an hour. Oracle split from us to head home, at which point it was dark, cold and wanky continental beer sounded like a good idea, which of course, was a great idea.
I didn’t eat anything that day. After the cheese and wine from the previous evening, I just lost my appetite. Today I’m still not hungry. In fact today has been a very lazy day. I must of went to bed at around 1am and slept in until late morning. However with much debate with my fox plush, the mutual conclusion was with no real plans to motivate me, then the only sensible thing to do was stay in bed and read. Which I thought I did very well. However I did full back to sleep once or twice, but I actually got up at a respectable 2pm.
Next thing is like a little poll.
1) Should I move to London or Manchester?
